Lunigiana

Lunigiana, is the region to the extrem north of Tuscany, between Liguria and Emilia Romagna along the Magra river and its affluents; this region is characterised by mild hills and valleys, encircled by Appennini and Alpi Apuane where are the famous cave of white marble, that nowadays decorates the houses and the squares of all the world. For its special geographical position Lunigiana is easily reachable.
Lunigiana offers to the visitator a big variety of natural ambients with a spectacular view on the sea and numerous possibilities of entertaiment and turistic activities. Nonetheless are numerous also the castles, romanic pievi and the boroughs keeped intact where are defensive buildings.

Lunigiana is divided in three zones Alta, Media e Bassa Lunigiana. In Alta Lunigiana we can Filattiera, Mulazzo, Zeri and the most famous Pontremoli. In Media Lunigiana we can find Bagnone, Comano, Licciana Nardi, Podenzana, Tesana and Villafranca in Lunigiana. Finally in Bassa Lunigiana we can find Aulla, Casola in Lunigiana, Fivizzano, Fosdinovo and Sarzana.
