Camaiore is an active centre in Versilia to the feet of Alpi Apuane in a flat area full of olive-trees and gardens.
The city centre of Camaiore: At the centre of the urbanistic plan you can find Collegiata, whose ouside has been restored in its original romanic forms, it is flanked with a bell tower of 1365; from the inside you can reach the Battistero, with a christening font of 1387. The church of the sacerdotal order of Francescani SS. Concezione arises at the margins of the city centre, on the road to Lido di Camaiore. It gards the greater altar dedicated to the conception of Mary, with a marmour statue of the 1689.
