Saturnia, with its ancient origins, maybe even before etruscan civilization, has sulphureus springs, was for centuries a very mesterious place, with its legends and its fantastic therapeutic virtues thanks to the spring water, already appreciated by the Romans. Nowadays Saturnia is a quiet village, dipped in a landscape of great amenity and suggestion.

The spa of Saturnia, have been restored by the half of the previous century and gradually restructured and widened during the years and they are known for their sulphureus waters, omeothermal and radioactive, very good against reumatismi, gastric and respiratory affections and in general against stress.

The waters

From the chimical point of view the spring water of Saturnia is a mineral omeothermal water containing sulphureus, carbonic, solfatic and bicarbonic elements.
The elements dissolved in the water are sulfur and carbonic acid; sulfur, in fact, makes easier the elimination of slags and dead cells, activing the cell regeneration is like an antitoxic and antiinflammatory, while the carbonic acid stimulates the surface of the skin and supports a beneficial vascular reaction which is good for the blood circulation and especially in case of the hypertension of the inferior limbs.
